Ashley's Bachelorette Party

Last weekend, a bunch of us girls traveled to Hot Springs for Ashley's Bachelorette!  We had such a fun time celebrating Ashley's last days of being a single girl...  I didn't get that many pictures on my camera because we took most of them on Ashley's mom's camera.  But here are a few that I did get, and I'll post the rest when I get a chance :)

The weekend in review:
First, I picked up Ash and we headed to meet the rest of the girls at a nail salon where we all got manis/pedis, munched on some cookies and just caught up on all the latest gossip in our busy, busy lives.  After our pedis, Ashley, Morgan and I headed to Jason's deli for a quick bite while the rest of the girls went on to Hot Springs to decorate the lake house we were staying in.  They did such a great job! Everything looked so so cute when we arrived!  Then, in typical girl fashion, we began to get ready to go out to dinner.  It was so fun because it felt like we were all back in high school, doing each other's hair and makeup, and singing along to the music.  Dinner was at a seafood restaurant right on the lake.  It was a great atmosphere with some pretty amazing food :)  After dinner we went back to the Lake House where we ate WAY too many sweets, had Ash's lingerie shower, play some fun/silly games, and just enjoyed having the night to spend with all our best friends.  It was definitely needed  before we all start a very busy school year (4 of us are teachers).  Sunday morning we all slept in, cleaned up the lake house, went out to breakfast, and then headed back to lovely Central Arkansas.  Overall, it was a great weekend and a bit bittersweet as we are about to marry off another one of the girls that we have literally "grown up" with.

My New Home

Not an actual house, but here's my new home for the next 11 weeks!

Drum Roll Please...

I am an official intern at Helen Tyson Middle School!!!

I couldn't be more excited!!! I absolutely love the Springdale School District.  I would definitely love to work there next year!

I quite possibly have the greatest team ever to work with.   All the teachers on my team are young and lots of fun!  I think I'm going to really enjoy my internship here.

We are the Champions...

I'm super excited for students to begin next Thursday!  I can hardly contain myself! I definitely chose the right profession...

Ahh... Don't you just love it when everything lines up?!

Lake Day!

Monday was my first full day off in a really long time.  So we decided to head out for a day on the lake...

Andrew and I absolutely love spending time with Ash and Ian.

It was so nice to just be able to relax and enjoy the water.

Of course I had to tube, even though I probably shouldn't have given my leg is still slightly broken :)

Love, love, love my roomie :)

Love these two too!

We've been friends since...well, forever!

She was worn out!

I gave T the book, "Left at the Altar" and she's been attached to it ever since.

Ashley's Wedding Countdown Begins!

My best friend is getting married a month from today!  She is the third in our little group of 5 to become someone's wife.  In a month, Christi and I will be the only single ladies left.  In a little over a year I can predict that I will be the only single girl left :)

Her love story is so unique that I thought I should tell ya'll about it.  So here is my short version... If you want the long one you'll have to ask ash!

Ash and Ian met in the 6th grade and became instant friends.  They also "went out" or whatever you do at that age.

Well, after 7th grade Ian and his family moved back to Alaska.  Him and Ashley continued to be friends.

They remained friends all through high school, talking on the phone for hours upon end...

Ashley always told us she was going to marry Ian.  We told her she was crazy.

Then, after our sophomore year of college, Ian moved back to Arkansas to attend the U of A!  He told Ashley though that he wasn't moving back just for her, and that he didn't want her to expect them to start dating....

That lasted maybe a couple of weeks, but soon they were dating.

Ian proposed to Ash last January in Alaska.

They are the sweetest, most fun couple.  I love being around them!

Ash,  I'm so happy for you!! I'm so glad that you're finally marrying the man of your dreams and the one you always knew you'd marry all along.  I love how Ian makes you a better woman, and how much he loves and adores you.  I can't wait to spend summers at the beach with our little families and see yall move all over the world as Ian lives out his dream of being in the Air Force.  I love the both of you so so much and I can't wait to celebrate with you on your wedding day!

I get by with a little help from my friends...

Let me just begin by saying that I have the greatest friends ever.  Seriously, I am so lucky to be blessed with an amazing group of girlfriends.  I have some pretty incredible college friends too, but the ones I'm talking about are the girls that I have GROWN UP with.  They were there for first kisses, first loves, every. single. pageant, moving off to college, moving home, and everything in between and still yet to come.  We've definitely had our fights, but in the end we will always remain friends.  I am so proud to say that while many friends grow up and grow apart, we are all closer now than ever.

We've been friends for over 10 years...

This is what most times look like between us...

One of us is married with a baby, one of us is soon to be married (in a month), one of us just got her first "big girl job"

There's no way I could live without these...

Love them more than life!
